book and pillow on chair

Life as you knew it seems gone.

I know you are hurting; I see your pain. Seeking help takes courage, often stemming from deep hurt and a longing for relief. Grief can be incredibly overwhelming, leaving you to grapple with sadness, confusion, or feelings of isolation. It's so important to recognize that your experiences are valid, and you don’t have to face this journey alone.

You feel engulfed by an overwhelming sense of confusion and disconnection as though you’re wandering through a fog with no clear path forward. You alternate between unbearable pain and numbness. It feels incredibly lonely even beside your loved ones. You try to hold on to the memory of your loved one, but it hurts.

It’s completely understandable to feel unsure about what’s real and to want to retreat from everything as you grasp onto the memory of the person you’ve lost. You might feel incredibly alone right now, as if the weight of your grief is isolating you from everything and everyone around you.

I’m here to provide the support you need as you navigate this difficult time and work toward finding healing and peace. You deserve understanding and compassion as you seek to move forward

When someone you love becomes a memory,

that memory becomes a treasure.

Grief can be a profoundly isolating and painful experience. I too have experienced loss.

Grief unexpectedly touched my life with the loss of my father. The feelings of losing him shook me to my core more than any other life experience. During that process I learned that grief represents our love for the person we lost, and the more we grieve the harder we loved. I remember after the funeral asking myself:

Now what?

Over time I have learned the importance of keeping his legacy alive in ways that are memorable to me personally. I honor his legacy by playing music he listened to, teaching my child about him and bringing him up often in conversation. My family still celebrates his birthday doing things he enjoyed!

If you have experienced a recent loss, I get it. Loss transforms us forever, but it leaves wisdom and maturity. And I would be honored to help you navigate your healing journey.

Grief is the silent passage between what was and what will be, and in that space, we find the strength to heal.

Together we will walk the path towards your healing by…

Finding meaning in your grief - I know in the immediate weeks and months following a big loss, you can feel disoriented and overwhelmed. I can help you regain your sense of balance

Riding the waves of grief - this comes with time, but you can learn to navigate the unexpected emotions that grief brings along.

Sharing about your loved one or loss - healing from loss involves telling your story, which is a journey I would be honored to take with you at your pace.

Honoring their legacy - find a meaningful way to carry your loved one forward with you in life

I know it feels incredibly lonely. But you don’t have to walk this road alone.

I’m here to help

Our work together can allow you space to find hope for the future. This is a sacred journey, and I believe you can find peace in the end. Life will be changed, but it can also return to a sense of normalcy. Grief can feel profoundly heavy, but remember, it is a natural response to love and loss, and healing is possible.

Though grief may seem unending, it is a journey towards healing, where moments of relief and comfort will gradually find their way back to you.

Questions about Grief Counseling

  • Through grief counseling you can explore the reality of the loss and work through the discomfort of grief. Counseling also provides you the space to adjust to life without your loved one, while building a connection to their memory and seeking ways to move forward.

  • Grief never leaves us completely but changes as we heal. The painful feelings immediately after loss will change in intensity over time. Remember grief is not linear and it’s not something to get through and finish. Grief is an ongoing process.

  • It will, but it also takes you to a place of healing. Remembering your loved one and sharing your story is how you find healing. By leaning into your pain and sadness, your loved one is always with you.

  • Grief is not something we move on from but rather move forward with, so I understand. My role is to join you and support you on your journey. I will help you honor yourself and your needs as we explore the loss you’ve experienced and the impact it’s had on you.
